Once you have implemented some or all of your action plan you should think about how effective it has been.

• Has your action plan worked?
• Have you carried it through?
• If so, why?
• If not, why not?

Once you have had some time to think through and evaluate your development plan, you may wish to refine or rework it.

As you achieve some of your goals you will find that your strengths, weaknesses and development goals begin to change. You may require to go through the PDP process over again, so it is worth thinking about how it has worked for you this year and how you can use your experience to plan your personal development in future years and beyond.
